Format an API JSON response without uploading its contents
- Paste a JSON response or import a local JSON file. Use a redacted sample if you are working on a shared device.
- Choose the indentation and select Format. If validation fails, correct the reported syntax error first.
- Inspect the formatted result, then copy or download it. Compact is useful when you need a single-line payload.
A small payload to try
Input: {"active":true,"count":3}. With two-space indentation, the object becomes a readable multi-line document while active stays a boolean and count stays a number.
JSON requires quoted property names and does not permit comments or trailing commas. Formatting cannot prove that a response follows your API contract; use the JSON Schema validator for that check.
